Alignment is important. It determines our functionality and impacts what it produced, or not, in and through our lives. 

We see alignment in various different aspects of life. Alignment is important when we are creating written and digital document, presentations, and projects. There are character alignment traits that describes people, even characters in books and movies. We can even see the importance of alignments as it related to wheel alignments for vehicles. Even for our bodies, proper alignment is important to to its functioning 

Let's see alignment in a section of scripture from Proverbs.

Read Proverbs 16:1-7

Let's see alignment in these verses.

• Verse 1: We may feel and think one way but what’s on your tongue? What you speak reveals your alignment and who you are abiding to. 
• Verse 2: What spirit are you aligned to?
• Verse 3: Alignment: Is your work and what you put your hands to committed to the Lord. Your plans are not guaranteed out of alignment with Him
• Verse 4-5: Why is an arrogant/proud heart an abomination and considered a “disgusting thing”? It’s a person who thinks they are high, mighty, or strong apart from God. Apart from God is out of alignment.
• Verse 6: Steadfast love and faithfulness… that’s abiding
• Verse 7: Man’s ways: that’s abiding. Benefits of abiding and being in alignment seen in this verse: enemies at peace with you

How To Get Your Life In Alignment?

Let's learn how we can practically get our life in alignment by focusing on verses out of Micah and John.

1. Read Micah 6:6-8. To get your life in alignment...
1. Do Justice (what is right)
2. Do what is good (towards others and as unto God
3. Be humble (all glory and credit to God our Savior)
2. Read John 15:10-17. 
1.  Keep His Commandments (Written and Spoken)
   1. “If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. John 15:10 ESV
2. Abide In His love by keeping his commandments
   1. “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11 ESV
3. Receive His joy and let it remain full
   1. “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:11 ESV
4. Love one another
   1. ““This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12 ESV
   2. “These things I command you, so that you will love one another.” John 15:17 ESV
5. Be His friend: Greater intimacy with Jesus & Keep His Commandments
   1. “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.” John 15:13-15 ESV
6. Bear Fruit
   1. “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” John 15:16 ESV
7. Ask the Father for what you need in Jesus Name
   1. “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” John 15:16 ESV
3. Read Proverbs 16:3.
   1. Commit your ways to the lord
      1. “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 ESV
