Stop Vacillating

Message 3 of 4 from the series Stop it!
To vacillate is to "alternate or waver between different opinions or actions; be indecisive".
Stop vacillating when it comes to…
Your Life (1 Kings 18:20-21)
"Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent." â€â€1 Kings‬ â€18‬:â€21‬ â€NLT‬‬
Stop wavering when it comes to your life and who you will serve. Does the film of your life show that you are chosen and have chosen to live for Christ? Evaluate who or what you are following, listening to, and being informed by.
Your Faith (James 1:2-8)
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." James‬ â€1‬:â€5‬-â€8‬ â€ESV‬‬
It’s great that your Faith is strong when things are good but you tend to begin vacillating when you begin facing trials. Stop resisting the testing of your faith. Testing has a purpose. When you begin vacillating, your faith and belief lies wherever the wind blows. You’re unstable because your faith is unstable.
Some of us are vacillating because we are too worried about what other people will think. You know what the Lord told you to do but you’re too scared to walk in it because of fear of what other people will think and say about you. Be delivered from vacillation today so you fully be who God has called you to be and pursue what He is calling you to do.
Your Hope (Hebrew 10:19-25)
"Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." Hebrews‬ â€10‬:â€23‬ â€ESV‬‬
Don’t let your hope waver. Make sure it is the Lord who bars the weight of your hope or else you will find yourself vacillating. He who promised is faithful. It’s easier to waver when you try to bear the weight or put your hope in anything and anyone apart from Christ.
Your Calling (Ephesians 4:11-16)
"And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes."â€â€ Ephesians‬ â€4‬:â€11‬-â€14‬ â€ESV‬‬
Stop resisting your calling and those assigned to you to mature in your calling. Stop talking yourself out of who and what God called you to be. Stop letting others talk you out of what the Lord has called and instructed you to do. Stop putting down, covering up, running away, and sitting on the call of God on your life.
The body is not working properly with you out of place and not fulfilling your calling. We are not operating because you’re not operating. Stop vacillating so you can take your place and fulfill your part in the body of Christ.
No More Vacillating!
Are you going to prioritize what He said or not? Put your hand to the plow, serve the Lord, answer the call on your life, and go forth in Jesus name!
